Wow, I'm glad I clicked on that! I'm debating showing it to my wife (who absolutely LOVES driving down to the beaches of California.)

I wonder what that type of magnification would look like on our water?

I'm sure not as diverse...

could be pretty close especially if you dose reef stew or plankton of some sort. Might not see the crab larvae or fish eggs but I have seen some under the microscope at my brothers classroom and there was a ton of stuff swimming around in there.

I was going to say that looked like an intense amount for one drop, and it isn't. That picture is the contents of a single dip of a hand net (obviously very small mesh). Still a cool image, but by no means is it a single drop of water.

Also, I highly doubt that is 25x magnification.
