When we bought our rock we noticed white line on them now several months later almost all the rocks have them its hard to describe
White tube like lines about one inch and now white with upside down umbrella like tops
I can not zoom close enough to take pic
Can any one name what it could be and I will look it up to see if its that.

Thanks for any input

i'll second that!....feather dusters are good for your tank

Too much isn't good either, means you have way too much nutrient.....lol....Like mine's doing right now.....I need to get some new DI resin, that's what's been feeding bad stuffs into my tank.....

It doesn't necessarily mean too much nutrients I don't think. More like a lot of particulates they can feed on, which isn't necessarily a bad thing. They don't feed on dissolved nutrients. When my reef tank looked it's best I had quite a bit of particulate matter floating around if you looked really close.

so if they are feather dusters so should I just leave them as they are?
The only concern is I've seen them at LFS and they are big as an adult. Will there be a point where I can remove them?
Just imagine 50 or more 6" inch feather dusters in a 55 gal tank. Not a good picture

yea, I got millions of them too. harmless. mine sorta have an ebb and tide. they were everywhere last year, but have dwindled a bit. I also have lots of othe types of worms that build tubes out of hte substrate. pretty cool..
