I'm no expert, but that looks like it might be a bacterial infection, likely Vibrio. My seahorses had similar discoloration when I kept them in my Nano Cube where the temps reach 79. It cleared up after moving them to my 40 Breeder, where the temps remain below 75 and I have a UV filter running.

What temp are you keeping the horsies?

It looks similar to what I had on one of my ponies. I used metroplex and focus by seachem and it cleared up. The metroplex helps with bacterials. Pete from the seahorse farm in Hawaii is extremely knowledgeable and I got that info off a response he gave someone else. No now keep the meds on hand just in case.

Hmmm, it could be a tissue necrosis from something like Vibrio, but hopefully it's just pigment loss which randomly happens to seahorses. I've had some loose a bunch of pigment and be fine. Does the seahorse have any other symptoms? Is it spreading?
