Whats on the live rock?

I am about one week into cycling my 70 gal. with about 70 pounds of Marshall Island rock. I am starting to see two things develop. The first is some brown areas on the substrate. From reading this great forum, I think that may be diatoms, yes? No worries, yes? The second think is a "webbing" like stuff between some of the rocks. It is thin and a bluish grey color. I am curious if anyone has an idea what this is? Sorry no pics. Still have to figure out how to post and if my digital can do macro.

Yes to the diatoms. Sounds like it. Should cycle with the tank. "No Worries"....youre ok.

webbing stuff ???? I dunno. How much flow do you have in the tank? You are correct..... need pics.

Right now the only flow is from the returns on a Quiteone 2200 pump. I plan on adding a Koralia 2 or 3 when my LFS gets them in.

Yes, the diatoms are a normal part of the cycle. Don't be surprised to see a green hair algae bloom shortly after. The 'webbing' stuff could be a sponge, but need a pic to properly ID. ;)
