What is the best brand of overflow box and return pump for a 90 gal tank. Is there a rule of thumb for the gph.
thanks

Ok I need to know prettymuch everything you need for a sump\refugium setup.
anything would be great!

It costs a bit more, but it is well worth the money. Get yourself a Lifereef overflow box. I have had one running for 5+ years now, never once had an issue.

Lifereef is the best HOB overflow out there. Many happy customers with years of reliable operation. For a pump, there are a lot of good options. The rule of thumb for GPH is 3 - 5x display size after head loss. 270 - 450 GPH for a 90G.

The best overflow? The one I have for sale ;-). I've got a CPR overflow rated at 800 gph, lightly used, looks like new. PM me if you're interested.

Another vote for Lifereef.

I would stay away from CPR overflows. Due to their poor design, bubbles accumulate & they lose siphon. Which means you either have to attach a small pump to the top of the overflow or run a line to a powerhead. There are many horror stories about them.....

lancer you're cramping my style :-P. j/k I've never used it, got it basically for free then decided I wanted to go a different route... However, I'd imagine that if you just attach an airline to the little nib that's made for a pump, and route it down the tube draining into the sump, the airline would act like it's own mini-syphon and remove bubbles as they present themselves.
