What's the diff between a Tunze 6100 vs 6000

If I'm correct, both pumps say 6100.12 on the back of the housing. With that being said, how do I know which one I have?

The round transformer is much bigger on the 6100. Part number for the 6100 is 7410.602

No difference in the pumps. As sjm said, the difference is in the power being supplied to them.


IIRC, its still cheaper to buy a 6000 and a 7410.602 than it is to buy a 6100. Essentially free upgrade, and you get to keep the 6000 transformer as a backup.

6000/6100s are two generations old and haven't been made in years. You may be able to still find old stock around, but it would be hard.

You have to be careful buying the used ones. There are a lot of 6000s being sold as 6100s.
