i keep reading about "true" RBTA's. what does true exactly mean, and what's the difference between a true 1 and 1 that is not? is 1 better to have than the other?

Just coloration is all. There is no "True" RBTA. All bubble tip anemones are E. quadricolor. The only difference is color. Sometimes people will try to sell some not-so-red anemones as Rose Bubbles when in fact the red isn't nearly as brilliant as it could be.

The "false" RBTA's have greenish oral disks when deflated whereas the "true" ones are rose even when collapsed.

It's an entirely made up elitist term though... kinda like zoa naming.

If you're looking for one, I'd try a local reefer, or even the buy-sell-trade (bst) forum here. If you can get a captive clone, they're usually in better shape and a bit hardier - they're already conditioned to aquarium life. Just my 2c.
Good luck!

yeah i know someone on here who has a bunch, i will probably go w/ him and save $.
