I do have the Pink Lemonade also, so far there is a difference, I guess I'll have to wait 'til they grow out to really tell how different if so.Did RE ever elaborate on where they got their frag? Do they have a mother colony shot? Do you have a PL in your tank to compare it too? ?Bombing, sorryI'm not making any accusations, but man that looks like the PL.
This is my RE Rainbow in my avatar, it is VERY slow. Same species as Pink Lemonade(Nasuta), but not the same coral I don't think. PL has much more elongated coralites, and seems to have longer polyp extension as well.
yes, you're right SCC that i meant strawberry shortcake:wave:wow that is sweet. Dont you mean SSC (Strawberry Short Cake?) Or SS (Strawberry Shortcake)?? since shortcake is one word.....or maybe we could do SBSC (Straw Berry Short Cake).
I just dont see how SBC is gonna work though....nope nope nope.
Dont we just love acronyms...![]()
The picture is a while back, it was on it's way to coloring up, then I found AEFW, ripped out EVERY Acro in my system, and put them through hell with repeated cycles of dips/QT. My system has been clean a while now, and that is one of my surviving acros(I killed prob 60-70 in the dipping process). It is on it's way back now. At that point, I had it a bit over a month I think. It needs VERY high light. I originally got it around Jan 2010 I think. I agree, obviously looks different than the picture, but I was starting to see the potential, the coralites were reddening, and right now the encrusting around the base is blue. How long have you had the frag? Looks much different on the site then the picture you posted.

Whatever it is, it's still one of my favorites, along with the RE Watermellon Mille and Stag, both on thier way back from hell also.
I believe in the past, most of thier corals came from the Fiji area.
ORA Pearberry, its hard to say between it the colony of Palmer Blue Milli, Purple Monster, and Garf Bonsai. I just recieved a nice frag of Strawberry Shortcake and it got hot in shipping but looks to be coming back fine. I also have a mini colony of IceFire on its way also(5" of coral).
