whats this on my chili coral

hi all can someone help me id this it came on a chili coral it only comes out at night now i thought asp at 1st but this thing rolls up out of the base thing in the 1st pic if i feel the base it stiffens up and graps down onto the rock now all asps i hav seen hav a foot which they move around with this can not the is a very small one next to it aswell and that is the same looking base ...thanks....

but have you ever known a asp that has a hard base and that will stiffen up when you feel it and it does not turn to mush when out of the water???????

It's probably some sort of palythoa or protopalythoa. I have a solitary one in my tank as well.
