there are about u openings in it. it grew on some coral skeleton i bought awhile back.its about 3 inches in length and it took about 3 months to grow to this stage.
Almost seems like a sponge but that would be a huuuuuge sponge. Nice color on it though. So its not hard or anything at all? Some kind of coral perhaps?
it started growing in my 30 gallon on an old skeleton i had bought with some rock. it really took off when i put it into my 65 gallon with the 400watt halides. at first it started covering the skeleton in a small snake like patternm then when the skeleton was covered it grew like tunnels inlets kind of like my blue sponge has.(the blue sponge was added a lot later after this one developed) the inlets close up at night most of the time or when its being touched. the inlets dont have any tenicles comming from them like the description of the Bryzoans
Tunicates of some sort would be my guess. Keep it isolated. Post this in reef discussion maybe and see what they say, i dont belive it is a soft coral.
