i bought a red open brain 2 months ago. it came out of a tank with halides and had a little recession. it did great for a month and a half. now it is starting to turn really light alomost white in the center towards the mouths. the outside is still red the recession went away. i have a 25 high with 96 watt pc on it. its on the bottom of the tank in the sand. i dont feed it. have not changed anything. there is a red goni at the same depth doing great. lights have not been changed in a year and i would like to now but im afraid its already bleaching and dont want to hurt it further. any suggestions or is this a normal thing to happen?

forgot one thing i was running skimmerless for a year and just added a diy skimmer. i have it skimming really dry to ease the tank into it. it only has skimmed maybe 1/4 cup in a week

Well if other corals are doing fine I would probally rule out water conditions. Move it to a shady place and spot feed it. In no time it will be back to good.
