whats with my clam

i have a clam that is starting to turn white in color. can anyone tell me what is goin on?

how old are the bulbs?

where in the tank is the clam?

what type of clam is it?

had him for about 3 weeks, my lights are 250watt HQI, clam is on the sand, and im not sure what kind of clam it is.

along with the pic and params,

what kelvin is the bulb? ( 10k, 14k, 20k )

how old are the bulbs?
