This came from a customers tank & I'm not sure what happened to it. It's not doing very well and I don't even know what to start treating it with. Anyone have any ideas?
If you use Maracyn-2, be sure to use double the recommended dose (saltwater application). You can also choose from Neomycin or Kanamycin. Seachem sells these drugs under their own product names. Kanaplex & Neoplex respectively.
I would recommend antibiotic baths daily for at least 7 - 10 days. I would use nitrofurazone or kanamycin. If you have to wait to obtain either of these, I would start Maracyn-2 immediately. Most antibiotics will affect the nitrifying bacteria. Do not dose antibiotics in a tank with rock or substrate.
I would keep the hospital tank's water pristine. I would enrich the trigger's diet with vitamins and beta glucan.
