What's Wrong with these Polyps?

We am starting to loose some polyps on this rock. They appear to have white spots on them, some are not opening and look to be dying off. This has been moved under new and more intense light so I am gussing they are "sun burned". I have not added any new corals that might introduce any nudis or anything like that. What does this look like to you?

Our SPS seem very happy under the new light as does this brain.

Pink Birdsnest getting pink again under the 10K light. It did not like the 20K.

Raspberry Milli from a small frag dphinsx2 sold us.

Nice color in the brain under 10K too.

It looks like your mille did a lot of encrusting on the rock before vertical growth like mine did. When did you get it?

Yeah steve, good link....but do they ever find a specific cause and effective treatment in that thread? Don't have time to read all the pages here...stupid work.
Sounds like a pretty bad thing to have. Hope you find something that works on it Lisa.

I read the first couple of pages of the thread. It does appear to be related to a build up of something in the tissue due to overexposure to light. I added Lugols and aimed some current directly at the coral. A bunch of white "dust" flew off the polyps. I decreased the light over it a couple of days ago. So I have either helped it or spread the problem. We'll see.

The milli started from a 1 inch frag we got from Mike maybe 2 1/2 years ago. It has been through many highs and lows in our 120g tank. At times I thought it would die just to bounce back again.

It has encrusted over a large shell the original frag was glued to. And it is beginning to grow up and out rather quickly. Hopefully the new tank will be just the ticket for it.
