wich clown OTHER than a maroon would you select for the BTA?

john

Tomato clowns love BTA's. I have 2 and within minutes of adding my RBTA they fell in love and have not left it for anything...

I added a pair of pink skunk clowns and they immediately went for one of the vacant BTAs. They've since decided to host my red haddoni now though :)

ROFLMAO, I have the same situation almost, only my clown took to my frogspawn instead of the BTA. And it's so funny because the frogspawn is much too small for the clown, and the BTA is huge.

yea i was leaning toward the tomato clowns. i had a pair of maroons in my old 75g and they were the most territorial fish i have ever had.

thanks john

FYI clowns dont have to host an anemone its not trully engrained in their DNA. They just like to hide in things.
Marine fish are also quite intelligent too.
Your clowns might not like Green. I have a clown who absolutely LOVES green. I got a RBTA nothing, she stayed in on her green favia brain. Got a green BTA she was all over it.

There are many theories on this but none yet proven.

i am glad your tomato clowns went right into the anemone. some times it takes a lot of patience. my ocellaris just yesterday finally went into my gbta after hosting in my brain coral for months.

jcato, that looks awsome. I love it when small clownfish host anemones much bigger than themselves.

Genin, congratulations. Many people have issues with their percs or ocellaris trying to host BTAs.
