I am planning to get my first coral and I want it to be a zoa. After the tank has cycled, when is it best to start adding zoa's? I have read the threads on zoa dips and I plan on doing that just wanted to know how long I should wait. I'm starting to get itchy for a reef.
there is no set time. let the algae blooms do there thing and test your water. like pimpinitup said check your parameters but be somewhat patient too. zoas are pretty hearty but that's no means to just dump them in your tank cause your antsy.
good luck
Should be ok to add when you are cycled. You just need to add stuff little by little and not add a bunch of stuff at once. Patience is the name of the game in this hobby.....
After cycling is good. Perhaps your tank got a quick start with rock or sand from another tank, that would speed things up safely. Common sense wins, and remember that bad things happen quickly with these tanks, rarely good things
