When to Adjust Placement

If it came in brown get it acclimated to a spot and try to get it growing. Messing with it all the time will only delay it. As long as its in an okay spot you will eventually see some color come back. After you get it growing, you can figure out optimal placement for color.

I dont I leave them in the spot I carefully choose, then I leave them there. Moving them around only stresses them and it takes longer for a coral to color up.

A week or 2 just move it up a bit not much like an inch or so
I dont agree. SPS can take a month and sometimes 2 or 3 to color up in a certain spot if it starts out as brown. IF it starts as a colorful piece and is turning brown than ya move it sooner...even with that said sometimes frags will dull out before bouncing back so give it some time as long as its not super brown and dieing. I also dont see how moving it up an inch is going to do much either....normally you just try to find a spot moving corals from the bottom to mid or mid to top.
