Where can I find the best place in town?

I am kind of new to Colorado Springs. Just moved here from Baltimore. I was looking for a few places that I might be able to purchase some new clams and maybe some corals? If any suggestions can be made, that would be much appreciated. So far that big rock sticking out of the ground known as Pikes Peak is rather interesting to just sit there and stare at, but I would really like to get my tank up and running again.

I have a 120 gallon tank, and sold most of my stuff before we moved out here. It was sad to see it go, but at least it all went to good homes. I managed to sell my 125 a couple of weeks ago and just got my new lights.

Thanks for any suggestions
Derek.

Exotic Tropicals has a large crocea at a reasonable price...Neptunes Realm has some clams too. I don't think anyone else in town has clams right now...

(719) 471-9154

Exotic Tropicals

(719) 475-1675

Mr. Aqua
105 E Fillmore St

Exotic Topicals and Fishy Business get them in regularly and Neptunes always seems to have them in stock, SeaScape and Mr Aqua get them in but not as frequent as other IMO... Welcome to Colorado and RC!

Welcome to the Springs and SCMAS!!! Hope to see you at the meeting on the 20th. If you need anything, let us know.

Thanks to everyone for the info. I called 2 places in town and was so impressed I didn't call the rest. I spoke with Scott at Exotic Tropicals. I'm going to mapquest directions and go down there later today. He has FIFTEEN Clams coming in tomorrow or the next day and about a billion fish and corals. Should be interesting, I might see some of the board members down there with that size order. I don't care where you went in Maryland, 15 clams is impressive. Clams are definetly my favorite!

Hi Derek:

I am glad you posted your intro, because I moved here in September and just happened on this forum as well. I have never been to Exotic Tropicals, but will make a visit this weekend based on your posts. For some reason, I thought Exotic Tropicals was FW only.... dummy me should have just called. :-)

I am so excited to see that there is a Southern Colorado group, because the Rocky Mountain club seems to be based up north.

Keep us posted on your tank.

Keri
