There's a few live rock sellers locally that sell live sand. But I can think of multiple stores locally that carry LS here and what them guys said about online free shipping.

If you want truly live sand, I would reach out to Tampa Bay Saltwater. Richard will usually work with you on local pickup to avoid the shipping costs. Otherwise I would just use dry sand and seed from someone's tank.

Is it illegal to harvest live sand from the gulf? I know live rock is prohibited. When I dive I see some absolutely beautiful rocks covered in corals but not worth the consequences
