has anyone seen any small clams for sale locally ? or a good site online for nano items ? I am looking for 2 for my 24g nano so they need to be small . any help is appreciated , thanks.

Small clams are far more risky than larger more stable ones, plus does your nano have the lighting required to keep clams?

ReefWorld03 - 3" max , if I could find a 1" that would be great .

I have kept clams so I am aware of their requirements , I do appreciate your concern for them though . I will be running 250w mh and plan to feed as needed . I have also had the tank drilled for a 10g sump and a 10g refuge that were added today .

Sullyman is right, Sea Schor had some nice clams for sale. I think they are going to have a one day big sale this Saturday. You know I'm suppose meet you this week to pick up the skimmer and Mag 5 so if you want I could pick one of these up for you. Let me know.

Here is a pic of the clams they had last week.

got that flier to.. Florida Riciardia in stock.. lol.. looks like they didnt proof read..

anyway regarding the clams wont it outgrow your nano? I bought a tiny deresa clam and its probably 5 inches or more now..

Exotic Acuatics in algonquin has a lot of small ones. I was there this weekend and saw a couple that couldnt have been much longer than .75 of an inch. And I thing that they were going for around 30.00

thanks everyone . I will try those places suggested.

I'm sure it will outgrow the nano , which is why smaller would be better . when it outgrows my tank I will find a larger home for it .

That place in Park Ridge had about 10 that were about 1 inch .I was there today....swaping frags with a local reefer in the parking lot.Walked in to see what was overpriced.....yep everything.
