Also if there is anything cool you rec. doing when I am on land. :)

Thanks in advance!

ya its pretty good, but u have to go on a snorkling trip to see any thing, we went on a good trip with this guy that works for scuba, he does snorkling and for extra he does this stuff that is like scuba but without a tank. that was the best out of 5 trips. dont go with the guys on the docs when u get off the charter boat, they suck. but this guy had a catameran and actually brought u to the reef. hes got a pamflit in hotels.

hope that helps

Chankanaab Reef is the place to go, fairly shallow <30 ft, strong current. I was, of course there before the hurricane last year. Plenty of offshore charters that have local divemasters who each have their own favorite spots. You'll have an awesome time, and spend some time in Playa Del Carmen!

planacar caves, santa rosa wall, and columbia reef are awesome, i was there last week, loved it sure you will too. dive paradise has pretty good rates and takes you to the most popular reefs, reef club hotel is about 10-15 min away from dive paradise have fun

Noel,

Post your question to scubaboard.com under the Mexico -> Cozumel forum. Scubaboard.com is to scuba what RC is to reefing. Great resources.

We'll be there honeymooning in September. :D

I went to Cozumel about a year ago and stayed at Reef Club. The place was pretty nice. They have their own dive operation. If you walk to the right of Reef Club you will find it. When I was there they were doing a bunch of new construction so I'm sure it is done by now. The Reef Club dive crew is pretty good. Palancar horseshoe is a MUST. If you are also into deep dives check out Punta Sur (Devils throat). Once in the water you drop down to 130 ft and come up through these rocks. I would have loved to go but I was having a problem equalizing. While you are there check out Sol beer. Its like Corona but actually good. There is a city about 15 minutes from Reef Club that is worth a visit. The vendors are very pushy and will do whatever it takes to get you in their shop. Remember, ALL prices are negotiable there. Oh, some will also ask for a tip after you buy something. I told them to knock $5 off the price and they can keep that. Remember, they aren't working for free.

I just got back from Cozumel...

The cane really did a number on the reefs... everything was covered in sand. anything below 60 feet was still ok...

It did uncover another wreck or at least the bones and the anchor...

Good diving but, i'd of loved to see it before the cane.

We've got some good pictures and I'll try to post them...

A lot of large angels both French and Queen... Parrot fish. Octopus

Fancy Toad fish.. What else.... Let me think...

Palancar

Palancar

Dive on palancar reef, anywhere there. So many turtles, you could stand on em! If you are diving with an agency, go with deep exposure.
