where to find black venner?

i am having my tank placed in the wall at my new house and am having a 10 inch door atop of the tank for front access and also trim going around the tank. my tank is a 125 All-Glass with black border. what can i use to get the same color as the black border of the tank. I was thinking of making the trim and door of wood and adding some form of black veneer or does someone know where to get black moldings or should i try and paint then with a black laquir...i hope this makes sense. i am not a wood kinda guy!

there is a wood stain color called 'ebony' that, if stained enough, and left to soak into the wood, can leave it virtually jet black.

You could cover the panel with black formica and paint the molding.

there is plastic product like sticky shelf paper out there. I have seen it at Stores before. It has a peel off back and Iam sure its a 3m product. But if you look its a start. I just paint my stuff with enamel black and sand with 660 grit inbetween coats. Looks really good.

True ebony veneer would not be a workable solution if that's what you were thinking.
