Which chiller for BC29 with halides ?

Hi,

I'm planning to buy a chiller for my BC29 with 150 metal halides.
Will the JBJ 1/15 will be o'k or would you go with the 1/10 ?
Any other ideas ?

I don't have a lot of experience in this arena, but having just done a lot of research on chillers I would suggest getting a 1/10 hp model. Although I have a feeling you would be fine with a 1/15 hp if you don't need more than a 10 degree pull down, a 1/10 will run less frequently and you may save a bit on your electric bill. The real reason though would be the 1/10 will work on a larger tank if you so choose to upgrade in the future whereas a 1/15 will struggle on much more than what you are running.

this is exactly the thought process that i went through. also the 1/15 is 700 btu's while the 1/10 is 1460 btu's. for me it more immediate i am converting my nano to my 65 as soon as i have room to move my 65 into a 135 i have laying around. sides my agressive fish are almost to big fot he 65. ofcourse as soon as i do that i'm gonna have to restart the nano and rebuild it from the ground up.
