which clown?

id like to add a clown to my 55g but i dont want the oc or perc clowns (i have them in another tank)
so what other clown would be a good choice for a community setting? id just want one not a pair

What will the clown be housed with? IMHO, it makes a difference. If there are shy or small fish in the display, I wouldn't keep anything like a maroon or a saddle, it's just asking for trouble. I lost a pair of sand sifting gobies to my pair of saddlebacks, they were absolutely vicious.

tomato's are cute

the tank is 55g and the other fish are..
3 chromis
juvi foxface 2"
4" banded sleeper goby (aka bullet goby)

i have a royal gramma but hes being abused by a small red lip blenny, the blenny wont let the gramma out of the cave. i try and float some food in the cave so the gramma can eat but its really difficult especially since i can only do this when the blenny is at the other side of the tank scraping algae
the blenny doesnt bother anyone else (yet)

Get a cinnamon,they are beautiful. Like a tomato, but their stripe is blue.

so is it really a hit or miss on what clown will be aggressive?
and its just bad luck if i get a meany?

yeah a tomato, i had one for years. they are great fish.

ok im leaning towards a tomato
liveaquaria has tank raised ones, pretty small under 2"
he shouldnt be too much of a threat at that size

whats the growth rate for tomato's? do they grow fast?
