Which Ehiem?

Hey guys,

I'll be setting uo a new tank soon. Its going to be a 60 gal cube. I am planning to use an OM two way squirt on the return. My question is should I go with the Ehiem 1260 or the 1262 for the retrun pump? The tank will me mainly SPS with some zoos and a few rare LPS.

Any advice?

i'd do with a 1250. Turnover through your sump would be too great with a 1260 or 1262.

im putting a 1260 in my new setup, after head loss, ill be pushing about 450gph. I hear people that get the 1262 in that size tank always say its too much. I think the 1250 is too low. in my opinion.

do a search on "1260" some good reading.

If you are setting up a Ca reactor I would get the 1262, you can feed the reactor and return from the sump. The 1260 should be enough otherwise. Will you be using some powerheads?
