Which goes first, the corals or the fish?

OK, so I am about ready to add some more to my tank. I deffinately want 2 clowns and probably a 6 line wrasse, but I'm not possitive about that one yet. That will most likely be all the fish I stock (30g) I may possibly go one more, but most likely not.

Should I wait for the fish before I put any zoas, acans, or corals? Or can I add some of those and the fish later?

Clown and a six line wrasse are hardy fish but 6 line can become aggresive with age. IMO i would place fish before corals but zoa are a beginer coral so as long as your water is stable I shouldn't see why you could add a coral or two to test the waters.

Ade said it....I added fish and live rock before corals. I tested mine by adding an anemone just to see if it could survive my parameters and once it still looked hardy after about 4 weeks, I started adding corals.

I agree. Adding the fish first and allowing the tank to further stabilize will provide a more optimal environment for your coral. Plus if you have fish when you add your coral you will inadvertently, along with the fish, be feeding your coral.
