Which Lens?

Earlier in dec I got my first DSLR... the canon T2i. I have been taking photos of my husband's corals and fish... but want to be able to get really clear up-close pics of the corals specifically.

So I was wondering which lens you guys have been most pleased with... for those of you with a canon camera? I'm thinking macro... possibly the canon 60mm macro.

Thanks,
Sandra

The 105mm Sigma or the 90mm Tamron would be a bit better. Otherwise you will have to move something up close to the glass to get close.

I agree, if you can't swing the Canon 100 either of those lenses are apparently very good. Some even opt for the Tamron over the Canon anyway.

Another option to buy some time while you save $$ is to buy some extension tubes for the lens you have. Another option is a reverse mount adapter ring (and maybe the cheep 50mm lens). Both of those will allow you to get closer to your subject.

I also agree with Louis on the tubes. This was with a Sigma 105 and a full set of tubes.
