Which LFS to Visit in LA

I will be in the area to visit in a few weeks and would like to check out some of the LA stores. Any recommendations? I was told about Tongs, are there others? Are there any wholesalers (open to the public)?

I am in the market mostly for sps and zoanthids.

The LA area is pretty spread out, but I would check out fragframer.com aka Central Aquarium in the Inland Empire.
Reefermadness' warehouse, in the south bay area is pretty cool for SPS also...you need to call first to make sure you can drop by.

LOL, with the rush hour traffic you could drive an hour and a half and go only 5 miles.

oh crap! I have the Tucson slows, not sure LA drivers will appreciate me on the road. How is the traffic at 3am? Any stores open at this time.:lol: Maybe they have early-bird specials too.

cool, been to that online store before. The online prices seem to be higher than some other stores. Are the in store prices any better?

Depends on how much you spend....IME, they knock off the shipping/box charges. I remember for a $200 online order dropped to about $170 when I picked it up there.
Plus, your sometimes able to cherry pic what you want and talk to the guys there.

Thanks. I got an email from Jeff, the writer of that program earlier today. This store locator rocks!!!

I just added a bunch of stores in my area to it (Tucson and Phoenix). I would encourage your club members to add reviews to the LFS so that everyone can get a good feel for what is good and not so good about the stores you all like to frequent.

I would like to see some more stores added to it and reviewed. Like: Reefer Madness, Frag Farmer, the new store Coral and Fish Center, and any others you can think of.
