which light XR15 pro or Regular gen 3?

Hi I just picked up an IM 38 gallon aquarium. I have a brand new Radion XR15 pro as well as RMS good and ready to go. I also have a gen 1 radion that I was thinking of sending in to have upgraded to the Gen 3. Which would you recommend? Looking for mainly softies and LPS, and a few sps towards the top. Would I be good with just the 1 XR15 pro or should I upgrade the Gen 1 to a gen 3 and use that instead?

Well it would be best to know tank dimensions when asking lighting questions, especially with LED's due to "spread" being a major concern for most.

But a 38gal in any dimensions will do more than fine with a XR15. Even if you wanted SPS.....

Thanks i appreciate it the Dimensions: 23.62" x 19.02" x 19.02"
It is an all in one aquarium so the actual lighted area would be 23.62 x 16 x 19
