Which Mode for SPS Tanks?

Hi, I just upgraded my original MP40 drivers to the MP40W, and I'm wondering which mode you all would recommend for a SPS-dominant tank? I'd like to get as much flow as possible out of these pumps while creating random flow at the same time. Should I be interested in having constant waves at the surface of the water (and if so, what is the best mode to create that effect?).

I have two vortechs, one mounted on each end of my 150 gallon tank. I'm currently operating the driver in the reef crest mode with the slave pump in the synch mode. I was running the slave pump in the anti-synch mode, but I wasn't very happy with the output of the slave pump. Before the driver upgrade, I was running both pumps at full speed on opposite ends of the tank.

Thanks in advance for your suggestions!

Right now I'm trying both of my pumps (one on each end of a 125 gallon tank) on pulse mode independent of each other. So they are each pulsing independently at different speeds and increments.

Thanks for the advice. I'm running it on pulse mode now (anti-synch) for the time being to see if I like it.

I like your idea, phishlet, I might just have to try that one next.

i have them on reefcrest both master, kinda giving the same effect as phishlet but more random..i believe.
