Which of my tanks to use? Newbie questions

I recently added a 55gallon refugium to my 180 reef. My original refugium is a 15gallon and is still connected until the 55 is adequated populated with algae and pods. Rather than disconnect it, I was considering leaving it plumbed into the system as there really is no reason to disconnect it. My wife has been trying to convince me to get sea horses and I thought this might be a good opportunity. So here is my question, should I use the 55 or the 15 as a seahorse tank? Should I replace the 15 with something like a 29? I have read some articles which state that you don't want too big a tank as it is difficult to feed them so I am unsure.

Also any recommendations on species given the above?

I've got a 55. One pair of CB H. Erectus. While you will find different oppinions, I love the 55 the more water you have the easier it is to maintain good water.

What is the temp of your reef? Seahorses do not do well long term in higher temps. I keep my H.erectus in the low 70's and even tropical horses should not be kept above 75. During the heat wave in July my tanks over heated into the low 80's and I had numerous outbreaks of bacterial infections. Now that temps are back to normal all the horses are doing much better.

Something to think about for new seahorse keepers.

Oh and as far as tank size the bigger the better. I like 29 or 30 gallon cubes for seahorse pairs.
