which paint to use

just finished building a new cabinet style stand, just wondering what type of paint is recommended for painting the inside of the stand. stand is built out of 2x4`s for the frame and oak for the skirting.

You may want to consider water proof paint or water proof stain. Marine boat paint or exterior house paint.
