Which plants to deliberately grow for feed?

Ulva sp. (sea lettuce), Gracilaria sp. are great food items for tangs and other herbivores. Some individuals will also eat Chaetomorpha.

I am tagging along here. Sorry if I am hijacking the thread.

I'd like to grow some Ulva and Gracilaria for my rabbitfish. What conditions do they need to grow well?

I had some Ulva and Gracilaria in a refugium, but they disappeared after a month or so. The water is very lean since this fuge is for my SPS dominated tank. Both Caulerpa and chaetomorpha grow really slowly there.

I have a small QT tank which is used only for the observation of new livestock - no treatment needed so far, knock on wood. It's just sitting most of the time with chaeto and caulerpa in it. I can turn this tank into a macro growing tank.
