Ok so i have several return pumps laying around.. But the only two I'm considering for the new system are my mag 5 and a gen x gx-1400(1098gph) pretty sure the mag will be too small though.. The system consists of the following 60g lee mar tank w 1.5" bulkhead(sps tank) (1.5"durso) and a 20g w 1" bulkhead(just gonna put it in the back wall w a strainer on it)(zoa/paly tank) sump is a 40g breeder with refugium.. The return will need to feed both tanks as well as the refugium.. Which would you use?? I'm leaning towards the genx because I don't think the mag5 will be anywhere near enough flow..
60g will also have a vortech mp20(soon to be upgraded to mp40) and a K4.. 20g preferably won't have any powerheads in it but if need be I have several options laying around(more than likely throw a k3 in there.. Protein skimmer is will be either my euroreef rs80, a much larger euroreef(forgot number but rated for about 300gallons) or my asm g4 w sedra 5000 and sicce psk-2500(modded for recirculation and also both pumps mesh modded)(stock rated at 350gallons) so I'm basically gonna try out the smallest skimmer first(less energy consumption) to see if I can get away with it if not I'll throw one of the others in I made the skimmer compartment big enough to fit any of them...
Lighting will consist of a 250w radium on a fallacy ballast w a mini luminarc for the 60g and a 4x24" T5 setup for the zoa tank... Any and all suggestions are welcomed... Everything is eventually going into my 210gallon when I move and get all the equipment and such I need for that system...
