Both these units, and many of the others you'll find on that auction web site, have been reviewed extensively on reef central. Might want to try a search. I'm happy to answer any questions you have.

I have a water general RD-106. It works and was affordable IMO. Not the best filters but then I plan to replacing them with better ones in a few months time anyway. My product water is just as good as any other from other expensive brands.

BTW... I don't think that unit is 110gpd but rather it is 100gpd. From the photos, it looks to be the RD-106 which is 100gpd.

The amount of purified water that can be produced in a day can be modified with application of higher pressure or higher tempertures. Under most factory spec conditions, none of the US manufacturers make a 110 gpd membrane.

Both have small horizontal DI stages.

Both appear to have carbon after the DI stage.

Suggestion: Talk to a reputable RODI vendor before you purchase!

I would steer clear of both as they are marginal drinking water systems at best. They are cheap for a reason and you will end up spending more to upgrade them to reef quality than you will spend on a good unit to begin with. There are several Reef Central sponsors that deal almost exclusively in RO/DI systems and who have much better units for not much more initial cost.

All use genuine Dow Filmtec RO membranes, offer reef quality systems with true DI filters with 10" vertical canisters and refillable cartridges, good easy to follow directions and great technical support. You will see most of them on these forums or on sponsors forums offering free advice even.
