I have been doing RODI water from the LFS

Going to buy a unit and not sure which one to buy

suggestions?

I have a 150 gallon fish and live rock system

will eventually go all reef

I would like to get a good value I dont want to spend more than $200 on the unit

I would also like to purchase a tank to hold the water in

thanks again!!

BRS, spectrapure, the filterguys, buckeyefield, air water ice. just to name a few are great places.

I suggest getting a unit with a pressure guage and TDS meter. also you will want to know if your water supply uses chlormines. if so you will also want to get a unit for that.

also IMO try to stick with a 75gpd unit, those membranes have the best rejection rate out of all. however spectrapure have membranes that are hand tested to be sure to get 98% rejection rate so that is also a great option.

and finally it is also helpful to know what your water pressure is at. you would like it to be around 60-70psi going to the unit, min. even though a lil less will work also you just won't get the rejection rate your hoping for.

I got the BRS 75 GPD unit about 3 years ago and it's worked great. I just bought an upgrade kit to bring it up to 150 GPD. For the tank, I bought two 20 gallon water tanks from US Plastics. One for my top-off, the other for salt water. They have all sizes and shapes.

I use the Spectrapure 5 stage (two Di stages) with a pressure gauge and two tds meters. I have the 96 gallon per day unit (the membrane controls the output). Mine is 15 years old.

I mix saltwater in a 32 gallon trashcan (Rubbermaid Brute, grey, from Home Depot).

I keep rodi fresh water in a 6 gallon plastic container made to store notable water for human consumption. You can get them where camping supplies are sold (Walmart, sporting goods stores).

You will wonder why you didn't get the rodi system sooner.

I also use a booster pump to up output.

Spectrapure user here, I got the refurb max cap system for 209 has pressure gauge, dual tds and the additional max cap di, love it
