Try ordering from Premum Aquatics. They have about 4-5 different kinds of live rock to choose from. They are very well known for their awesome customer service and prices. When you order the rock, let them know how big your tank is and the kind of shapes you're looking for. They will hand pick the rock out for you.

They are local for me, so I've been down there a lot. They keep their rock in these huge pools. It's really neat to see.

I've gotten rock from PA and Dr.Mac and the Dr.Mac rock was better by FAR! No pest hitchikers, a few corals on the rock and a good bit of coraline. They cure it there so you will have to force a cycle but it's no big deal. You can specify the size of rocks you want and they'll take care of you. It's on special now for $3.98/lb.

We got rock from Drs. Foster & Smith. Great price....great shipping. The rock is beautiful. We got it uncured though....and curing it had to be the smelliest, stinkiest most foul stench I've ever encountered.....BLECH! But...the rock was VERY nice.

Another vote for premium aquatics. You can call them and find out what they have...what's good at the time, etc. They'll also try to find exactly what you're looking for.

I used Marine Depot after amassing some gift certificates. The uncured rock was very fresh and just smelled like wet earth. Not a whole lot of life on it at all and the rocks were huge, but I didn't have a very stinky cycle.
