Which starfish is for me?

I would like to have a starfish in my 115 gallon but I am not sure which would be best. I have a regal tang, maroon clownfish, pink spotted goby, 3 yt damsels,a skunk cleaner shrimp, a few hermits and a snail. I also have a clam(crocea I believe), a green bubble tip anemone, and a mushroom that just popped up that I dont know much about. Can anyone suggest what might work the best?

I would think you would be OK with a linka if you have a good amount of rock work. I would stay away from blue linkas, but some have good luck with them. Link Multifloras are supposed to be slightly easier. Read about them and make sure you acclimate them well and get a good healthy one from a reputable dealer.

Linckias may work depending on the amount of LR. Ime, anything less than 200lbs of mature LR will result in a starving linckia. I have ordered all of my linckias from bluezoo and recommend them if you go with a linckia. Serpent and brittle stars are good options because they can be spot fed meaty foods and are not dependent on the LR for food. Avoid green brittles as they are well known for eating sleeping fish. Slow acclimation is critical for the stars survival.

Thanks for the input. Can anyone tell me about marble starfish(fromia elegans) or the pacific jewel starfish(nardoa spp). I saw these on bluezoo, thank you olemiss reb!

I would righly reccommend getting a Blue Linckia! They get about a foot long, very pretty blue! they are compleatly reefsafe and not incredibley expensive. They are relitivly easy to care for Good luck!

Marble seastar info:

Marble seastars grow to about 6 inches long. they need a tank of 100 gallons or larger. They often die of malnutrition, so I really don't reccommend them for anyone exept advanced aquarists. they live only about 1 year. They are not suitible for reef aquariums. they might possibly eat sponges.
