this is quite a tough decision

I have access to both tanks at very good prices

the 33L has been one of my favorites since the first time I saw it, I think it is such a sweet shape, it is 48x13x12

the 33L is glass and drilled w/ bulkhead
awaiting PM for price

the 37 cube I can get is 24x18x18, drilled w/ internal overflow and also drilled for return

it is a 2 week old acrylic, so basically brand new, this one is only $125

35g is the max I wanted to go for the display on this tank setup, but for the sweet deal on the 37 I can make an exception

basically I can't decide, both would be sweet
can anyone push me in either direction?

I dont have any equipment at all...its a ground up, "welcome back" build

its hard to get back into the hobby...dont know the best vendors for lighting or anything, etc

I think that 33L would be awsome, just too bad it isn't a litle wider. I have a 30g and love it except that there isn't much room between my rockwall and the front glass. And that's where the cube would shine as you have more depth (front to back) that you can work with but very little width. And if you go with the 33L, rember that you don't have to build the stand to the exact dimensions of the tank, make it a little bit bigger so that you can what ever size sump you want down there.

I would say it all depends on what you want to do. IMO If you are going to concentrate of fish, the long would be better. more room to frollic and play, If corals, the cube. because the lights being only 12 or 13 inches from the bottom of the tank, that would be to much for them.

well things have just gotten a little more interesting

I bought both tanks

I plan on using the 33L for a sump for this tank and maybe someday setting it up as a display

but at least for the time being I got 2 great tanks, both drilled and for great prices

the 33L ended up being 40 bucks, drilled w/ 1" bulkhead...I think its a top bulkhead intended for return or simple drain...not sure

but I am that much closer to getting back
