Which Underwater Camera Should I Get???

I am looking for an underwater digital camera that is good for macro shots, in tank shots, and shots in the ocean. I dont know where to start looking and what is good. A bonus would be if there is one that is a good above water digital camera as well

Since I am in college, budget is an issue, so keep that in mind. Pictures taken with the camera you recommend would also be helpful.

Oh, and a multi shot function is a MAJOR plus.

I can't speak from experience myself, so I have no specific recommendation.

That said, when looking for digital camera information/recommendations, I've found Steve's Digicams to be very helpful...a camera guru friend of mine turned me on to this site some time ago.

They've reviewed tons of cameras and have a good reputation. There's even a section for weatherproof & underwater cameras. If I had to guess, it's probably more weatherproof than underwater, but it's a start.

For bang for buck, get a nice point n shoot from canon and buy the underwater housing. I use mine for spearfishing and out of the water with great joy.

^+ point and shoot is the way to go for underwater unless your a millionaire.
