Which wrasse is this?

I think it is either an ornate wrasse or Christmas.

That is a very nice juvenile H. biocellatus.
Very nice and peacefull halichoeres wrasse.

Actually, I think that may be a H. ornatissimus, not H. biocellatus.

My ocellatus when it was small had a slightly different pattern...

Cool, I was hoping it was the h. ornatissimus since I've researched on them and they seem to be pretty reef safe (clams).

Got another question regarding this fish:
I seem to recall reading that they will disappear for the first few days (either in the sand or rockwork) and come out later. However, I can't find where I read this...

So, he has gone hiding and was wondering if this is normal?

have no worries and let nature take its course as he will hide for a bit .they are quite durable and should be okay .
