I just noticed that the black paint on the outside of my whisper heater is flaking off. Litle black specks were floating around the bucket when I made up a new batch of water. Then I noticed it was also flaking off into the tank. So I pulled the heater out and scraped all the paint off by hand to avoid it all ending up in the tank. It doesnt serve a purpose does it? I didn't just make it unsafe by removing some protective coating did I? Unfortunately all I could make out of the barely there paint was 'Whisper' I don't know the model name or number.
