White foam

Awesome Dude
So I probably should have put the sand in first but I didn't. I did so after I had already put 50 gallons of water into the tank and now I have white foam on top of the water. Any Ideas?

I would skim off the foam from the surface. I have a flat 1 gallon pitcher that works for me, but almost anything will work. Run a skimmer and canister filter to finish clearing the water.

oops misread that, it will be fine only you will need to let the water clear. Overskimming will help in adittion to MSM's advice.

Thanks for the Ideas Mike and Rob. I am gonna skim best I can by hand and let the skimmer do the rest. See what happens.

The foam around the top of the water line is gone but the water is still kind of cloudy. The skimmer and the filter will take care of this problem correct? Didn't have these problems with crushed coral.
