White fuzz all over rocks

I have noticed a thin layer of white fuzz all over some of my LR. Among the fuzz there are also TINY worm-like appendages sticking up, which I believe to be related to the fuzz, but I'm not positive. It is spreading, because I also have it on some base rock that was totally clean. Anybody have any ideas what this is?

Sponge ??

I have a sponge that grows what i would call appendeges.

Will a sponge spread all over the rocks? It could almost be some kind of algae, except that it's white, and except for those tiny worm things.

My rock did funky stuff this time also. I also have white things on my rock, but mine looks more like sprouts that grow on potatoes when you've had them a bit to long. Yours looks different from mine.

They are a bit larger now, That picture was taken a few weeks ago.
