I have a blue Tridacnid and it is very healthy and has been growing a lot but this morning a white fuzzy thing came out of the bottom and i just guessed it was the hold fast or something and then it broke off in the afternoon the clam still looks fine. is this something to worry about???

sounds like a detachment of its bysal foot used for attachment. it will grow a new one. what kind of clam is it?

if the clam has attached and decides to move, they can drop their byssal thread and are free to move where they like. as long as he has dropped it on his own he should be ok but you may want to consider why he has decided to move. have you changed anything? ( ie. lighting, flow, supplements ........ )
