White growth on Dispar Anthias

I've had 2 Dispar Anthias in QT for just about 6 weeks - was planning to move to DT next weekend. Did 2 back to back rounds of Prazi shortly after I got them into QT, and they have been in Cupramine for just about 3 weeks now. Fish eating fine & breathing normal, but just noticed this white growth on the head of one of them. No other marks anywhere on the fish/fins. Pic is the best I could get, but it gives you an idea - looks like some sort of fungal or bacterial growth - its a bit fuzzy looking. Seems to be growing on the skin, but no lesion into the skin. Any ideas on what this might be and how to treat it?

Thanks,
Grief

Can't tell much, but "fuzzy' usually means fungal; quite unusual in fish and usually a secondary infection. If this was my fish, and in copper; i'd just wait. A healthy fish can get rid of a lot of this stuff; if it spreads or festers, then its time to treat. This may be just a bit of peeling skin and a reaction to the copper.

So, wind the clock forward a few weeks and I think I finally have this guy healthy, though I can't say the same for his tank mate ... RIP.

This ended up getting much worse - white growths all over, in/around mouth, body laceration wounds, reddish wounds, fin rot... the works.

Treated with Furan-2 first assuming it was likely bacterial, but it didn't seem to do anything. Then went with Pimafix, thinking it must be fungal - and this seemed to do the job. Of course, it could have been a combo of both meds that did it - no real way to know I guess. Either way, fish looking great now for the last 5 day & eating like a pig.

Given the situation, any advice on how much longer I should observe him in QT before transfer to DT?
