White Growth on my LR HELP!!

Hi guys i am new to Reef, I have had my new 90 Gallon tank cycling for just over 2 weeks, with 90 lbs of LR. All going well at the moment.

However i now have a white growth / sponge looking thing. Picture attached.

Please advise what it is and is it safe.

any feedback would be much appreciated.

A harmless sponge most likely. Keep an eye on it though. Some of them can be kind of invasive. GL.

Sponges are good filters to have in your tank. I have several that look like yours and they have not become problematic.
