white or black starboard?

I am setting up a 225 starfire tank, I plan on having a thin layer of sand. I am going to line the bottom of the tank with starboard to protect the tank from the rock. Should I go with white or black starboard? I have a feeling that the white will be to reflective?
LMK what you guys think.

If you are going to have sand over it, it doesn't matter. If you don't, then coralline will build up on it and again, color won't matter. (unless you plan on scraping it) IME reflective is good, but it really doesn't matter much because you won't see it with sand or coralline on it.

Should I even bother with the starboard if I am going to use sand? Its $150.00 for a 96x52 sheet, I could use that $$ to buy sand.

If you're 100% on the sand, I would skip the starboard.
