I bought two neon blue star damsels from a LFS. This was about 7 weeks ago.
Put them both in a QT. The next day one of them had a white spot about the size of a scale on it's side. It looks very slightly raised and has not spread on him or the other fish.
They both eat great and everything else about them look fine. I have never run into this before.
I have treated for fungus, parasites and baterial infections. I treated for the bacterial first then fungus thinking it was more than likely those. Treating for parasites is only because the others didn't work and I am grasping at straws trying to figure this out.
Nothing has affected this white spot. Could it just be a scale is coming loose and just hanging there? Or is it some other disease that I have not found the cure for yet? He does not scratch himself on anything trying to get it off.
Any help would be great. I can't get a picture of it because he is either hiding or to fast for the camera!
