White powder/film. plz help

I made a bucket of salt water and it was in the rubbermaid container for about a week.There is a white powder(dry) film(wet) on the side of the container. Is this ok or not. The reason i ask becuz its a new bucket of salt and wondering if its ok to use.

If the film is from the water interacting with the comntainer I would say no. If the film is undissolved salt I would say it ok.

yeah it c an be salt just stuck on the sides, I assume you have a powerhead in there for mixing. Mine does the same thing, I just move the powerhead to blow it back off.

yes i have a power head moving the water and i have been using this container for a long time now so i would go with the salt thing thnx

probably just a calcium deposit from the salt. shouldnt bother a thing. what kind of salt are you using?
